Limited Product Warranty
Effective Date: April 2025
1. Disclaimer of Warranties
All APTERIX Paint Protection Film (“Product(s)”) must be stored, handled, installed, used, and maintained in accordance with instructions provided by APTERIX Performance LLC, a Delaware company (“Company”). This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon full compliance with all such instructions. Copies of APTERIX installation and care guides are available upon request or at our website: www.apterix.co.
APTERIX Paint Protection Films are advanced thermopolyurethane (TPU) films engineered to provide exceptional resistance to environmental and mechanical surface damage.
2. Limited Product Warranty
APTERIX Performance LLC expressly warrants to the original owner that, for the applicable warranty period from the date of professional installation, the Product(s) shall be free from defects such as cracking, blistering, delaminating, and discoloration due to manufacturing issues.
- APTERIX: Pro – Fifteen (15) years
- APTERIX: Evo – Fifteen (15) years
- APTERIX: CLR – Ten (10) years
This warranty applies only to professionally installed Product(s) by APTERIX-certified installers and in accordance with Company recommendations.
If the Product is found to be defective during the warranty period due solely to manufacturing issues, APTERIX will, at its option:
- Remove and replace the defective Product at no charge; or
- Cover parts costs associated with removal and reapplication by an authorized APTERIX installer.
Note: The replacement product shall not extend or reset the original warranty period.
3. Warranty Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damages caused by:
- Improper installation, handling, or storage
- Use of non-recommended cleaning products or harsh chemicals
- Environmental exposure such as acid rain, salt, or pollution
- Physical abuse including rock chips, scratches, scuffs, or scrapes
- Improper wash techniques or automatic car washes
- Non-automotive applications or modifications
- Pre-existing damage or poor substrate condition
- Impact damage, vandalism, or acts of nature
- Use of non-APTERIX branded ceramic coatings or third-party additives
4. Warranty Claim Process
To obtain warranty service, submit the following:
- Completed warranty registration or original proof of purchase
- Copy of installation receipt identifying Product and coverage area
- Written description of the defect and images, if available
- Contact information and installation address
5. Warranty Transfer
This warranty is transferable only if the new owner submits proof of the original installation date and completes the warranty transfer request with APTERIX. The new owner will be covered for the remaining duration of the original warranty period.
6. Limitation of Liability
The remedies set forth in this Limited Warranty are the exclusive remedies for product issues covered by this document. APTERIX Performance LLC disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
In no event shall APTERIX be liable for:
- Special, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of use, time, profits, goodwill, or reputation
- Indirect damages resulting from product failure
Maximum liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
7. Governing Law and Arbitration
By purchasing, installing, or using APTERIX products, the customer agrees that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to the use, installation, or performance of APTERIX products shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration.
- The arbitration shall take place in Collin County, Texas
- Conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA)
- Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney’s fees unless otherwise awarded by the arbitrator
8. Customer Maintenance Guidelines
- Wait 48 hours before washing your vehicle after installation.
- Gently clean with a soft cloth and pH-balanced soap. Rinse thoroughly.
- Park in shade or use a UV-protective car cover or spray to prevent UV damage.
- Clean bird droppings, sap, or fuel spills immediately.
- Use only approved products designed for PPF.
- Inspect regularly for lifting edges or damage.
- Do not touch drying bubbles — they may self-resolve within 14 days.
- Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive compounds.
- Never use rough towels, brushes, or pads.
- Do not ignore bubbles or film lifting — bring the vehicle in for service.
- If pressure washing, keep the nozzle at a safe distance and avoid edges.
